The target of the article to inform the reader about the situation happening with IS. This includes the people from many countries of the Middle East, Asia and Europe because the threat is mainly to them.


Bias – what slant does the writer have?
The writer clearly wants to inform and warn the readers about the supposed return of the IS fighters, because the article clearly states that if they do return, they will return with more than 30,000 more soldiers and with extra force and motivation because they want back what once was their territory, and if they don't claim their territory, they will express their anger with random terrorists attacks.

We think the publisher wants to let people know what the writer has to say and what information he can bring to help other people be aware of what’s going on around them and with the current IS fighters situation.

The slant that the reader is having is more a fear against the IS.In the past years IS is the main of global terrorism around the world and know as the reader is getting informed about the situation is a getting feel of fear and maybe in the future


Purpose
The purpose of this article is to inform the people about a threat that IS is making towards the world not only the Middle East and also that many people, around 30,000 foreign fighters are joining IS.
