The international significance of this article is that a region of Spain known as Catalonia who is trying to become an independent state, after planning this for several months the elections came more than half of the population voted in favor of independence,but Spanish force responded with violence, violating the United Nations Human Rights, while also UN people to investigate for in detailed about the violation of this human rights against the Catalonia's.

The audience is all the people in the world but mainly the people in Europe and Spain because are the closest to Catalonia.

The slant that the writer is creating is seeing the side of the Catalinas who are hard-working people who have been fighting for several years to become an independent and how they are getting declined.But everything will come to an end in the future and they are hoping for the best for Catalonians which include becoming an independent country.
